Hoppy Easter

Easter this year was a blast.  Having kids makes the holidays that much better.  We dyed Easter eggs, had a hunt for their Easter baskets and went to a couple egg hunts as well.  The kiddos have loved eating the hard boiled eggs this year, expect for baby R.  She does not like eggs!

The kiddos had fun at our neighborhood egg hunt and after church on Sunday we celebrated with an amazing Easter dinner + egg hunt with some good friends.  It was the perfect way to celebrate!

UW Tacoma Campus

While we were downtown last weekend, we also cruised around the University of Washington Tacoma Campus since we still had time on our parking pass.  We walked all along Pacific Avenue and then wrapped around the campus to see what changes had been made since our last visit.
The kiddos were happy as could be running around and playing and we made it back to our car just as our time was running out on our parking pass.  A morning well spent.

Bridge of Glass

Last weekend the kiddos and I spent some time playing around on the bridge of glass and all around the glass museum, union station and the waterfront. It was a cloudy and overcast morning, where the air was cool and felt good as we ran all over downtown.  There are some amazing outdoor art exhibits all around this part of town.  The Chihuly glass it always beautiful and the kiddos love to find their favorite pieces that are on the street display.  It was a great way to spend the morning.

Love Where You Live

I have lived in multiple states and in a third world country.  Although I was born and raised in the same city and state, I feel like I have a pretty good background of living in new places and liking each and everyone of them.  To me, it's simple.  Just love where you live, end of story.  Sure some places might be prettier than others, or the weather might be warmer.  But, in all sincerity there is beauty all around and you can always find something to love where you live.

I loved growing up in Utah.  I loved being able to ski every winter and enjoy hiking, camping, motorcycling, boating, etc.....  When I lived in CA for  a while, I loved being able to get to the beach in just under an hour and when I lived in Colorado I loved all of the outdoorsy trails, rivers, lakes and mountains.  Now that we have been living in the Pacific Northwest for almost 4 years I love it here as well.  My to do list keeps getting longer and longer .  Sure it's a little wet here, but there is so much to see and do and the summer months are the best ever!  We love getting out and about and exploring new parts of the state and seeing what else is good for the kiddos and my family.

So, no matter where you live, go out and explore.  There is more to see, to do and to explore than you would think.  Every place has something unique and cool and it may just need to be discovered.  The more you go out and explore the more you will see.

Crystal Mountain Ski Day

We took the entire family back up to Crystal Mountain last weekend and had a great time.  Skiing with kiddos is a lot of work.  We had to rent skis on Friday evening, gather up snow pants, coats, gloves, hats, etc.... for all the kiddos and then make sure they all dress warm for the weather.  The wifey and I managed to get everything packed up and we didn't forget anything.

We met up with another family at the resort and had a great time  cruising down the bunny hills and practicing with the kiddos.  Mr. T is able to do most things on his own and D needed some help since it was her first time.  She rode the magic carpet plenty of times and went up and down the little bunny hill over and over again.  There was also a little play area where Rosie played for a bit in the snow and the other kiddos would also take breaks down there as well.

The day started out sunny, then got cloudy and was snowing from lunch time until the end at the end of the day.  There were a couple inches of snow when we packed up for the day and the kiddos were already asking when we could go back and ski again.  Hopefully we can manage to get one more ski day before the season ends here in WA.
