Golden Gardens Park

I can't believe that we have never been to this park before!  It is just up the road from the Ballard Locks and our favorite burger joint Red Mill.  Now that we know of it we will be going back.  They have tons of beach with awesome views and nice, soft, white sand.  There is a cool trail that goes by the Marina and they have a large playground with swings and plenty to play on.  We spent hours on the beach and the playground and met up with some friends there too.

The kiddos loved playing in the sand.  Even baby R was crawling all over the place and trying to suck on the rocks and eat the sand, ya know, typical baby stuff for her age.  The weather called for overcast skies that day, so we didn't even bring swimsuits.  The kiddos still got in the water and played around in it.  And let's talk about the views too!  We love to watch all of the cruise ships and sail boats all around the Sound.  It's beautiful here! It was an afternoon well spent and I know we will be going back to this park and beach.
