1 Year Old Birthday Girl

My youngest daughter turned 1 last week and I can't believe it.  Her first year really has gone by so fast! It seems even faster than the first two kiddos.  Baby R is happy as can be and wants to be big just like her older brother and sister.  She follows them all around the house and she can crawl to fast!  She pulls herself up on anything and everything and will take a couple quick steps before she falls and decided to crawl instead.  She is happy.  She loves to smile and clap.  She loves to be held and may cry if she doesn't recognize your face.  She eats most and all foods, but her favorite is grapes.  She is a good sleeper once she gets down and really knows how to sleep in.  (Not like the other 2 kiddos!)  Happy Birthday baby Rosie!
We had a fun and simple celebration with just the family after dinner earlier this week.  She got to ear her own cake, we sang to her and then she opened a couple presents. It was perfect and easy.

Ruby Beach

After some hiking we headed to the coast to explore the beach!  This was our second time to explore Ruby Beach.  The tide was coming up as we hiked down to the water, but the views were amazing!  The cloudy skies were stunning and we all got caught in a downpour of rain and then the sun came out for a bit and we hiked up from the beach as the sunset set.  It was amazing!  I am sure we will be going back to explore more.

Hiking in the Quinault Rainforest

After a great stay at the lodge we met up with our group of friends for donuts and then headed out to do some hiking in the rain forest.  The trails were amazing!  Tons of scenery, green trees, mossy trees, rivers, waterfalls and more.  The weather was nice.  It was a bit cool, but we had some blue skies as we hiked a few different trails around the rain forest.  We had a great time exploring yet another beautiful part of the Pacific Northwest.
