Lemay Car Museum

The kiddos have their real Spring Break this past week and they have been doing some fun things.  They headed to the Children's Museum in Olympia one day, and then I took the 2 older kiddos back to the car museum here in Tacoma another day.  T has been wanting to go back for months and we finally went this past week.  We had a great time walking all of the levels and the kiddos were picking out their favorite cars and wanted pictures by them as well.

GLORIOUS

I showed this you tube video to the kiddos last week and they have been obsessed with it ever since.  Seriously, all three kiddos were memorized when I first played it.  I think they liked the song and they loved that kids were singing it!  They all sat there for the entire song, they didn't move, or talk and make any sounds at all.  They just watched and enjoyed the song.  It was pretty amazing.

The kiddos will ask to listen and watch the song on you tube here and there and the other night as I was reading and praying with D, she asked to watch the video before she went to sleep.  I agreed, went to get my phone and played the kids version and the original version for her.  She watched both videos in complete silence and the calming feeling in her bedroom was amazing.  It was the prefect way to end another great day of being her father.

Music is a powerful thing and I hope my kids will appreciate it as much as I do.  Now enjoy the videos.

Here is the original version by David Archuleta that the kiddos also like to listen to:

Hoppy Easter

Easter this year was a blast.  Having kids makes the holidays that much better.  We dyed Easter eggs, had a hunt for their Easter baskets and went to a couple egg hunts as well.  The kiddos have loved eating the hard boiled eggs this year, expect for baby R.  She does not like eggs!

The kiddos had fun at our neighborhood egg hunt and after church on Sunday we celebrated with an amazing Easter dinner + egg hunt with some good friends.  It was the perfect way to celebrate!

UW Tacoma Campus

While we were downtown last weekend, we also cruised around the University of Washington Tacoma Campus since we still had time on our parking pass.  We walked all along Pacific Avenue and then wrapped around the campus to see what changes had been made since our last visit.
The kiddos were happy as could be running around and playing and we made it back to our car just as our time was running out on our parking pass.  A morning well spent.

Bridge of Glass

Last weekend the kiddos and I spent some time playing around on the bridge of glass and all around the glass museum, union station and the waterfront. It was a cloudy and overcast morning, where the air was cool and felt good as we ran all over downtown.  There are some amazing outdoor art exhibits all around this part of town.  The Chihuly glass it always beautiful and the kiddos love to find their favorite pieces that are on the street display.  It was a great way to spend the morning.
