While we were in Reno last week, we spent one day up at Mt. Rose skiing! Mr. T was excited to go again and this time his cousins were there too! I think it was motivation to have them there skiing. As soon as he saw how fast they were going he really stepped it up and started doing a lot better. He is picking it up quickly and skis pretty good for just beginning. He was a blast spending all day on the slopes with his cousins and hey, we even got the wifey on the slopes again after 8 long years of not skiing!

Las Vegas Bowl Game
When they announced that BYU was going to play in the Las Vegal Bowl Game, my dad and brothers immediately starting planning a trip to Vegas to be there. We booked flights, got tickets to the game before we even knew who we were going to play. Once they announced that it was the University of Utah, our rival, we were even more excited to go! T and I flew down on friday evening and spent a wonderful 24 hours in Las Vegas. We hit up the strip, ate good food, saw some of the sights, went to a late night showing of the new Star Wars, and then spent all day Saturday at the football game. We lost the game (first quarter was terrible!), but had a great time seeing so many family members. After the game we drove back to Salt Lake City, and spent the next day playing with cousins and in the snow. It was a quick, yet very eventful trip. T is a great traveling buddy!

Virginia City, NV
While we were in Reno the kiddos took a little trip to Virginia City. Virginia City is a quick drive from Reno and has a lot of history in the town. It was a mining town back in the day and silver was a hit here at one point in time. You can ride the train, pan for gold and visit the little shops as well. The kiddos had a fun time exploring the town and seeing what it has to offer.

Lake Tahoe
While in Reno, we spent one day up at Lake Tahoe. Tahoe is my wifey's happy place. She grew up going to the lake often and always thought the Lake Tahoe was the coldest water to swim in. Flash forward 20 years and the Puget Sound is winning now. The water up here in the PNW is way colder than Lake Tahoe. We had a great time relaxing on the beach and playing in the water and swimming around on all of the rocks. It was a great day at the lake.
