Do The Puyallup

The Spring Fair was in town last week and we headed down to Puyallup to enjoy all of the festivities.  We went early before the crowds and were glad that we did.  When we left in the afternoon there was a line through forever!  We had a great time and the kiddos loved all of the rides, ice cream and food.

Puget Sound Honor Flight

I am honored to be able to be a part of the PUGET SOUND HONOR FLIGHT excursion this weekend!  This is an organization that takes war veterans back to Washington DC to visit the memorials and thank them for all of their hard work, sacrifices and service.

In Honor of Our Veterans

Honor Flight Network is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America’s veterans for all their sacrifices. We transport our heroes to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials. Top priority is given to the senior veterans – World War II survivors, along with those other veterans who may be terminally ill.
  • OUR MISSION : To transport our heroes on “One Last Mission” – a trip to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at the memorials built in their honor. This trip is free to the veteran, and made possible solely through individual donations and corporate support – NO Federal funds are allocated to this program. With the hard work and dedication of Honor Flight hubs throughout the U.S., and their communities, over 100,000 veterans have made this cathartic journey.
Since America felt it was important to build a memorial to honor the service and the ultimate sacrifice of her veterans, the Puget Sound Honor Flight believes it is equally important that they actually get to visit and experience their memorial.
I will be posting more pics  of everything we did and everything that we will see as well.  Until then, please visit their website to learn more, PUGET SOUND HONOR FLIGHT.

Lemay Car Museum

The kiddos have their real Spring Break this past week and they have been doing some fun things.  They headed to the Children's Museum in Olympia one day, and then I took the 2 older kiddos back to the car museum here in Tacoma another day.  T has been wanting to go back for months and we finally went this past week.  We had a great time walking all of the levels and the kiddos were picking out their favorite cars and wanted pictures by them as well.

Tulip Festival

On the way home from Canada we stopped at the tulip festival just outside of Mt. Vernon in the Skagit Valley!  We decided to go last minute and I am glad that we did.  We went to see the tulips about 2 years ago, so it was time to go again.  The fields were in full bloom and we had a great time walking through them, taking pictures and some of the kiddos got stuck in the mud, ha.  Seriously they did.  Knee deep in the mud.  It was a great way to end the little weekend trip to Canada.
