Pumpkin Painting

I love this time of year and so do my kiddos.  The weather is a little cooler, the leaves are changing colors and they look amazing with the green pine trees as the backdrop.  The kiddos get to go to the pumpkin patches with their school groups and we take advantage of each holiday and make the most out of them.  For fall and Halloween we started with painting pumpkins!  The kiddos have been very creative lately and love to create new things on a daily basis.  Letting them play with the paints and pumpkins was a great activity for them.  They each chose different pumpkins and we spent a Sunday afternoon painting them and letting our creative senses go wild.  It was a great way to enjoy this time of year and spend some time together as a family.  Happy fall friends!

Stadium District

I really love where we live.  I know it sounds so cliche to say that, but it's the truth.  I feel like we have a sense of community where we live, which makes you feel like you are in a small town, yet downtown Tacoma is just 15 minutes away and Seattle is only 45 minutes away. We are close to the water, bridges, hikes and views that will literally take your breath away.  Every time I see these views, I just pause for a moment and take it all in.  I really love where we live.
With that being said, we spent some time exploring around the Stadium District here in Tacoma.  We walked all around Stadium High and then cruised through some of the neighborhoods around there too. We walked the hills, enjoyed the views of the Sound and Commencement Bay and took in all of the historic homes.  It was an afternoon well spent.

11 Months

My little baby Rosie is growing up too fast!  She is already 11 months this week and she really is such a nice and fun baby! She sleeps well, eats like a champ with just a couple teeth and just wants to keep up with her older siblings.  She is taking a bottle morning and night and eating everything else in between.  She usually takes one good nap everyday and sleep through the night.

She is pulling her self up on everything, pushed her little walked all over the playroom and wants to be walking and running just like her siblings are.  She will get it soon enough.  She loves to put everything in her mouth and still has a little fear of strangers.  She loves her mommy the most and is a great baby for our family. Enjoy some of these pictures that I snapped last week after church.  She is amazing!

Exploring Bremerton & Port Orchard

We spent the rest of the time exploring some parks, waterfront areas on both of these towns.  We had a little rain on us but nothing that could stop us from stopping to play from a couple playgrounds.  It was nice to explore some new towns and see what else WA has to offer, especially during the fall when the leaves are changing colors.

The Puget Sound Navy Museum

Last weekend when it was a little rainy, we headed across the bridge to explore Port Orchard and Bremerton.  Because of the rain we spend a couple hours in the Puget Sound Navy Museum.  It was an awesome, kid friendly and very interactive museum down on the waterfront. The kiddos had a great time and I am sure we will go back and visit again.

Birthday Party Celebrations

T wanted to have his birthday party at a huge indoor playground.  He invited a bunch of his friends and they played and ran and played until they were sweaty and all had little red faces.  We had a yummy chocolate cake that T picked out himself and then opened presents.  He was so pleased with a good variety of presents from his buddies and friends.  Let's just let pictures do all of the talking, shall we.......
