Christmas 2015

We had a great Christmas this year!  The kiddos are at great ages to truly appreciate this magical time of year! We had a delicious salmon dinner on Christmas Eve, then we headed over to our friends house for a celebration that night with games and stories.  The kiddos hurried home and headed off to bed right away.  Surprisingly, they slept in past 8 am on Christmas Day!  We had a great time opening presents and then playing non stop all day long!
We did take a break in the evening to have dinner with some friends and then came home and played more and more.  It was a great Christmas with out little family here in the Pacific Northwest!
Tis the Season and Merry Christmas to all!

Family Traditions

Every year around the holidays our list of things to see and do seems to get longer and longer.  We love to take advantage of the sights around us, and still have time for the little family traditions as well.  One of the fun traditions is making wrapping paper.  The wifey's family did this growing up and we have done it for as long as we have been together now.  The kiddos love to paint and make a mess with the paper and paint and then we leave for the paper out for Santa to wrap some of the gifts in.  We have a fun time doing this tradition each year.  Tis the Season!

Happy Birthday Wifey Dear

The wifey's birthday was last Sunday.  We were supposed to have a nice roast dinner, but our flight coming back from Utah was delayed and we didn't land in Seattle until late, so that didn't happen.  We did let her open her gifts that night and the next night we had roast and cake to celebrate again.  It was simple, yet fun.  Just the way she wanted it.  Happy Birthday Wifey Dear!

SNOW in Utah

After all of the fun in Las Vegas, we drove through the night and ended up in Salt Lake City.  Mr. T had a sleepover with some of his cousins and we spent the rest of the day seeing more family and playing in the snow. T was pleased that it was snowing that morning and we had a fun snowball fight and made an awesome snowman named Frosty.  It was a quick day before we had to fly back to Seattle, but our time was well spent.  We are hoping for some snow here at our house in WA this year, we will see if it will happen.  If not, then we might have to make a trip to the mountains to play in the snow some more.  Tis the Season!

Las Vegas Bowl Game

When they announced that BYU was going to play in the Las Vegal Bowl Game, my dad and brothers immediately starting planning a trip to Vegas to be there. We booked flights, got tickets to the game before we even knew who we were going to play.  Once they announced that it was the University of Utah, our rival, we were even more excited to go! T and I flew down on friday evening and spent a wonderful 24 hours in Las Vegas.  We hit up the strip, ate good food, saw some of the sights, went to a late night showing of the new Star Wars, and then spent all day Saturday at the football game.  We lost the game (first quarter was terrible!), but had a great time seeing so many family members.  After the game we drove back to Salt Lake City, and spent the next day playing with cousins and in the snow.  It was a quick, yet very eventful trip.   T is a great traveling buddy!
