Oswald State Park

While exploring the Oregon coast, we asked one of the locals in Cannon Beach where a nice secluded spot was and he sent us down south to Oswald West State Park.  We parked, hiked for about 10 minutes on an awesome trail through the wooded forest and then bam, there it was!  A beautiful cove with sandy beaches, a few people on the beach and quite a few surfers and kayakers in the water.  It was picture perfect.
We hurried down to the beach and the kiddos took off running straight to the water.  We played non stop for about 6 hours at this beach, it was great.  The tide got lower as the afternoon went on and we ended up exploring the tide pools and there was even a cool waterfall.  The views were amazing in this little cove, so take that Southern California.  This was a great spot to explore and I am sure we will be back again.
